little things

We open our x-mas gifts last night at my parents. We were only suppose to open 1 each but since we are all a bunch of little kids they all got opened. Luke was the main pusher this year, he was so excited he just kept handing out gifts. Normal it is me, but I have been way too tiered! These are a couple of gifts that our baby got. Yes that is a VW bus so cute, Shelby ordered those as soon as we found out we were going to have a baby. And the little shoes are from my parents, Matt and I were just looking at them at the store because they are so tiny. The baby got a lot more stuff too. Already super spoiled! I an kind of scared to see what happens when we find out what it is.

Baby news!

I am ready to share some big baby news! But, I want you all to keep an open mind :) And know that I would NEVER put myself or our baby in harms ways. I have decided not to have our baby at a hospital and instead have our baby in the comfort of our home. Ok remember breath...it is safe. I will have a nurse midwife with me the whole time who will also deliver the baby. I am meeting with a midwife on Thursday morning. She has been doing this for the past 30 years and has delivered over 4,000 babys. I am so excited to meet her! She has a website with lots of great info www.lakesidebirthcenter.com There is also a great documentary called "The Bussiness of Birth" this is were I first got my info on home births. So as long as everything goes good with my pregnancy, this is how I will deliver our baby. Also Matt is completely ok with this, I have books all over the house about it. I know it sounds a little strange but I am really excited about it. The idea of having our baby at the hospital freaks me out...totally. All those tubes they hook up to you and all the people that are running in and out of your room. Not my cup of tea! I am planning on relaxing in between my contracts or try :) Listening to good music and sitting in a tube of warm water...so much better:) I might even deiced to have the baby in the midwifes bithcenter, it is beautiful. She has lots of pictures on her website. Please check it, I think it will ease your mind.

Its been a month!

A month ago today we were in Vegas getting married! I wanted to share a picture of the cake that my parents, brother and sister gave us when they picked us up from the airport. I love it the cake toppers are so much fun, what else could you ask for. They also had my Dad's truck all decorated with streamers and just got married signs. It was actually slightly embarrassing, but they were all having so much fun with it, I could help myself from smiling. The funny thing is is that when we were actually thinking about having a traditional wedding, we were going to use cars as our cake toppers:) So I guess no matter what kind of wedding we were going to have it was going to be far from traditional. Thank you for all the Love and Support we have received.

3 a.m. glass of milk

For the past week I have been getting up at 3 a.m or so to have a big glass of milk. Now I know that that doesn't sound to crazy, but I don't like milk. I might take a super small sip of Matt's if I am eating a hardcore piece of cake but that is it, nothing more. And now I am drinking full glasses! I wake up thinking about it...crazy. And other thing, I dont want sweets. This is even more disturbing than the milk thing. I love sweets, chocolate, ice cream, cookies nothing. I am one of those people who can not have those thing in the house because I will eat it all but now it sits on the shelf. Matt even looks at me weird. And if I happen to eat something sweet (my brain tells me, remember you like this...its creamy and yummy) I can only eat a couple of bites, really and then I feel sick! Now don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. I am just confused! Me not eating sweets is like me wanting a big piece of meat to eat! That hasn't happened yet, thankfully.

Sunday

Wow what a great Sunday. Its snowing, yeah! Matt and I are just sitting down to finally enjoy the weekend. But I had to share some pictures first. The first is our cute little home. The next is a picture of our back hallway. Matt has been working on it for the past couple of weeks. Yes, it is lined with old doors. I love it. We actually took out the newer doors and replaced them with old ones. They don't match and the paint is really old but they are perfect. They remind me of the doors in my grandparents house. The shiny white paint that has slightly yellow and has been painted over way to many times. Every time I look at them I smile. and the last pictures are of the most adorable measuring cups I have ever seen. I could not pass them up!
