Florida

n

This past Saturday Corbin and I returned home from our trip to Florida. The weather was amazing, and we both got use to getting up and going swimming first thing in the morning. We stayed with one of my good friends and her husband. I have to admit that traveling with a 7 month old is a lot of work. Corbin did great on all of the plane rides, we had layover in New York going there and coming back. I only had one moment when I wanted to cry and wondered how I was going to do this by myself, thankfully Darlene worked our flight home. The first day we were in Florida we were able to find a life jacket that fit Corbin so we were able to go out on the boat. We made it to the beach which turned out to be a little trickier than I expected...sand everywhere. Corbin got it in his eyes, mouth, between his toes, it was a mess that followed us for the next couple of days. I can't wait to go back and bring Matt. Darlene promised there sail boat would be done soon, which I would love to go on . Also I wanted to go Kayaking in the everglades which is just not possible to bring Corbin with. Darlene said that some time sharks actually come up and bumb your kayak because they are not sure what your boat is...scary but amazing. All in all we had an amazing time.

A morning spent at the farmers market

This past Saturday morning, my Mom, Sister, Corbin and I went to the Issaquah Farmers Market. For some reason farmers markets are magical places to me, where you can get amazing fresh food, unique gifts all by the people who either grew or hand made my new treasures. I love being able to talk with people who are passionate about what they are doing and can actually make good recommendation on what to buy. As I walk around the venders I always wonder why I don't make it out more and I wish that we had a good farmers market year round.
As soon as we arrived we ordered wood fired Margarita Pizza that we stuffed our self's on. We walked around Corbin and I tried on hats, he is such a good sport. One problem is that most little people hats do not fit him very well. We both end up with new hats. My mom found the one thing at the farmers market that would not fit in or on top of my new mommy mobile...a huge wooden table. Shelby got us shaved ice cones that hit the spot once the sun came out. Our mouths were stained blue for the rest of the day. My mom got a cup of just ice no blue and Corbin ended up eating most of it. Matt had to work that morning but was able to meet us for lunch.
It was cold when we left the house so I dressed Corbin for a snow storm. As the day went on he had less and less clothes on. He also has had a runny nose most of the week. I thought he was at the tale end of it only to wake up Sunday morning to a very unhappy snotty little man.

A day at the cabin

We spend yesterday and yesterday night up at the cabin. We swam, ate way too much and the boys hunted bees. The weather was amazing, beautifully warm during the day and then cooled off during the night.

This is what kind of mood he wakes up in everyday, happy.

Before a bike ride
This summer has been amazing and busy. It is hard to believe it is September. Corbin is already 6 months old and is rolling all over the house. Everyday that goes by I love him even more, it is amazing being a mom. We said good buy to the mini last weekend and Matt strapped the car seat into the mustang. I have had this car for 16 years and now I am going to finally have it has my daily driver. I can say that when it was being built I never planned on how a car seat would fit into it but so far so good, I can even keep a stroller in the trunk. We traded our kayaks for mountain bikes since they are more little people friendly and as always have been working on the house. It has been a great summer!!

4 months

Our little man is 4 months or was 4 months on the 27th. I can not believe how big he is getting and how much he can move around. Corbin will be playing on the floor in his room and if I leave for a second and come back he is in a completely different place. He is also starting to "talk" a lot which I love. MAtt has had the video camera strapped to him lately because everyday Corbin is doing something different. I have to say I love being a mom and am so fortunate to be able to stay home with my little man.
So far this summer we have not done much. We have had one bus trip to my parents cabin and it didn't go super great. Corbin does not like to be too warm so sleeping in a old VW next to his parents was not a great idea. Especially since I had way to warm of bedding and I was a little scared to put Corbin in the other bed which is located in the pop top portion. We made it through the night and I unofficial canceled all of our bus trips for the summer. We have also been working on the house, I know not a big surprise :) We are doing things a bit different from how we do things normally and I can't wait to see how it is going to look.

Wenatchee trip #1

This past Tuesday evening Corbin and I packed up the Mini and headed to Wenatchee where Matt was working for the week. The plan was to stay Tuesday and Wednesday night leaving Thursday after Matt got off of work. Corbin did great on the drive over and didn't make a sound.
Wednesday morning we got up and planned on hitting old main street where there was a coffee house I had heard about and a few other shops. Sunset magazine had just done a write up on Wenatchee, so I had some ideas as far as where to go. I got my amazing cup of coffee and we were off but not to where I was planning. We found a bridge that went over the train tracks and decided to follow it. It brought us to the prettiest park right on the river. This park is where we ended up spending most of the day. I found a bakery that had the some of the best food I have ever had. My sandwich was so pretty I had to take a picture of it.
That night we went to a quiet little Italian Restaurant that is my new favorite. Johnny and Becky even you would have been impressed!
The second day was a little hard because once I checked out of the room Corbin and I had no place to go so we headed to the park. Now I have
to say that I have made up with my mini and once again I love it but there are days were I wish it was slightly bigger, this was one of those days. To feed Corbin and be comfortable I had to put all the bags on the roof in the basket which was not so bad. That was until Corbin decided to poop his pants and I ran out of wipes and had to dig though all the bags to find the big container of wipes. Corbin on the other hand loved this part because as I ripped thought all the nicely packed bags he laid in the grass naked from the waist down enjoying the cool breeze on the warm day. He liked it so much I just let him lay like that till Matt met us at the park. The weather was in the mid 70s the entire time we were there it was a great couple of days.
